To remain resilient during the Covid-19 pandemic, aircraft interiors manufacturers are responding to new opportunities and finding alternative ways to access markets. In response, ADS, the leading UK trade association for aerospace, defence, security and space, is excited to launch the ADS Digital Cabin.
The ADS Digital Cabin is a virtual marketplace for aircraft interiors companies in the UK and Ireland to do business globally. OEMs and airline buyers move around a lifelike aircraft interior, exploring the technologies and capabilities from the exhibiting companies, rendered in 3D for a realistic perspective. Each exhibiting company has a showcase page with further technical details and sales contacts for more information.
“3D visualisation helps build customer confidence and is playing an increasingly important role in the B2B sales process. Buyers can see the products in situ, at scale and from all angles, something that helps for more complex products”, comments ADS marketing & engagement manager Nicola Green. “The UK is world-leading in its innovative aerospace products and I’m delighted that we are able to leverage 3D technology to help UK SMEs reach a global marketplace.”
Everything is customisable, from the carpet to the overhead bins, giving exhibitors an exciting real estate to express themselves and allowing buyers an incredibly realistic view. With the latest 3D engines and web technology, exhibitors can deploy functionality to toggle lighting conditions for dramatic effect, such as Cwmbran-based STG Aerospace has chosen to do. Functionality is available to create a passenger view from a seat viewpoint, as leading passenger controls company TT Electronics has done.
The Digital Cabin has been created to support the existing sales process for exhibiting companies rather than replacing it. Each exhibitor has their own information page. Users can interact with products in 3D and link to technical specifications, videos and sales contacts 24/7 – greatly enhancing the bandwidth of exhibiting companies. The pages can also sit within an iframe on the individual exhibitor’s website.
UK companies looking to exhibit should contact Omar Kadhim at email@example.com on the ADS Digital Cabin virtual stand at AIX. Buyers interested in finding out more about any of the exhibiting companies in the Digital Cabin should contact the ADS booth, where a virtual meeting can be arranged.
